Job Description
General Description
Under the overall supervision of Regional Representative and under the direct supervision the Migration Health Physician, the incumbent will responsible for the technical support of clinical assessment of the UK visa applicants, which will be conducted in the framework of the United Kingdom Tuberculosis Detection Program. In particular she/he will:
  1. Provide information, relevant to medical processing, to the applicants either by phone or personally.
  2. Register the applicants in the database, make an appointment.
  3. Check and make photocopy of bank deposit slip (or other proof of payment). Regularly submit these photocopies to the administrative/finance officer.
  4. Check applicants’ identity.
  5. Prepare master lists of applicants scheduled for chest X-ray and sputum tests and submit them to respective service providers.
  6. Print out medical forms with bio-data.
  7. If requested so, accompany the applicants to the radiology unit and ensure the identity of the applicants, undergoing X-ray.
  8. Inform the applicants about need for additional investigations (if not done by the Migration Health Physician/Nurse) and make appointments for these investigations.
  9. Enter information from the medical form into the database, if so requested.
  10. Print out medical documents as requested by the Migration Health Physician.
  11. Collect monthly statistical information in IOM format and submit it to the Chief Migration Health Physician.
  12. Set up and maintain in order storage system for chest X-ray and hard copies of medical documents (informed consent, radiologist’s report, sputum smear results, pregnancy test results, etc.).
  13. Any other duties as may be assigned by the Migration Health Physician, Senior Migration Health Physician or Chief of Mission.

Qualifications and skills

Education Graduate
Computer literacy intermediate-level user or higher.
Typing skills speed 200 symbols/min and higher.
Good knowledge of English.
Working experience in clerking/administration is desirable.
Good oral communication skills.
Friendliness, patience.
